Robert Francis Roode Jr., is a Canadian professional wrestler better known under the ring name Bobby Roode. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Robert Roode. He is also well known for his 12-year tenure for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2004 to 2016.

After debuting for TNA as part of Team Canada in 2004, Roode won the NWA World Tag Team Champion with Eric Young. After a singles run following the team’s breakup, he formed a tag team with James Storm as Beer Money, Inc. Together with Storm, he is a six-time TNA World Tag Team Champion and they are the longest reigning champions in TNA history. Roode eventually became a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, with his first reign being the longest reign in the company’s history at 256 days. In his later years with the company, Roode also won the World Tag Team Championship with Austin Aries and was a one-time TNA King of the Mountain Champion.

Roode signed with WWE in 2016 and began his career in their development territory NXT, where he was a one-time NXT Champion prior to his main roster call-up. Roode debuted on SmackDown in August 2017, winning the United States Championship in January 2018, his first championship on the main roster. He transferred to Raw in April and won the Raw Tag Team Championship with partner Chad Gable in December, followed by the 24/7 Championship in May 2019.

Robert Roode vs. No Way Jose

We go to the ring and No Way Jose is wrapping his entrance with his conga line. Robert Roode is out next.

Roode unloads to start the match, taking Jose into the corner. Jose fights up and out and looks to make a comeback but Roode catches him with a big Spinebuster in the middle of the ring. Roode shows off some and poses.

Roode waits for Jose to get up. Roode goes the “Glorious!” taunt and nails the Glorious DDT for the pin to win.

Winner: Bobby Roode

After the match, Roode stands tall and gets a pop as his music hits.

Mosh Pit Mixed Tag Team Match for the WWE 24/7 Title: Drake Maverick and Renee Michelle vs. R-Truth and Carmella

We go right to the ring and it’s surrounded by a bunch of Superstars including Robert Roode, the mosh pit. Cole says will come into play later on. We see Drake Maverick and wife Renee Michelle walking down the ramp to the ring as Cole and Renee go over the rules of the match. Out next are WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth and Carmella, rapping to the ring.

The bell rings and a brawl breaks out. Things settle down and drake starts with Truth. We get an early pin attempt by Drake as Cole says the 24/7 Rules are suspended during this match. The Superstars at ringside could come into play. Truth turns it around on Drake and covers for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring as Carmella cheers him on. Truth backdrops Drake onto Superstars but they catch him and carry around to another part of the apron.

Drake comes in but Truth drops him on his face for a 2 count. Renee comes in but Carmella is right after her, tackling her and unloading on her. Drake backs Renee into the corner as Truth checks on Carmella. Carmella slaps Drake, allowing Truth to go back to work o him. Truth drops Drake and covers for the pin to retain.

Winners: R-Truth and Carmella

After the bell, Truth stands tall as his music hits but he realizes he’s surrounded by Superstars on the apron now. Everyone piles on top of Truth and we hear the referee making a count. Mike Kanellis runs away with the WWE 24/7 Title and he’s announced as the new champion. Kanellis runs to the back as his music starts up. Truth and Carmella are shocked in the ring.

Winner and New WWE 24/7 Champion: Mike Kanellis

The camera cuts backstage to Mike Kanellis running away with the title. Superstars chase him into a room but he locks them out. Maria Kanellis appears and goes on about being pregnant, needing help. The Superstars retreat. Maria starts beating on the door but Mike doesn’t believe it’s her, maybe it’s Carmella pretending to be her. How does he know it’s his wife? Maria says if he doesn’t let her in right now, she will kick the door down and then kick him in his vagina. The door opens and Mike lets Maria in.

2 of 3 Falls Match: Ricochet and The Usos vs. The Revival and Robert Roode

We go to the ring and out first comes Ricochet for tonight’s opening match. Ricochet runs right by Lesnar and Heyman, who are looking on from ringside. He slides into the ring and poses in the corner as his music plays. Still to come, Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe and the Women’s Fatal 4 Way Elimination match. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and The Usos, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, are out as Ricochet waits. They work the mic on the way to the ring and have words for Uso. RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, are also out with Robert Roode.

Ricochet unloads with The Usos early on and they get an early pinfall on Dawson. Back and forth between the two teams now. Roode ends up taking control of Jey and hitting a big Spinebuster for a 2 count. Dash works over Jey now. Uso fights off his opponents while stuck in their corner but Dash slams him. Uso finally tags in Jimmy after Dash misses an elbow. Jimmy unloads on the heels and hits a big Samoan Drop to Dash. Jimmy knocks Roode off the apron. Dawson tags in and drops Jimmy on his face for the second fall. We go to commercial as they prepare for the third and final fall.

Back from the break and the bell rings as Dawson splashes Jimmy in the corner. Dawson with a suplex and leg drops now. Dawson keeps control and drops a headbutt to Jimmy. Dawson with a 2 count, and another. The Revival double teams Jimmy and mocks him. Dawson mocks Ricochet as Dash covers Jimmy for another 2 count. Dash with an abdominal stretch to Jimmy in the middle of the ring now.

Jimmy breaks out and goes for a tag but Dash stops him. Jimmy rocks Dash but Dash goes for another stretch and gets it. Uso with a hip toss. Dawson tags in and stops the tag. Ricochet finally tags in as does Roode. Ricochet unloads and springboards in with a flying clothesline. Ricochet dropkicks Dawson off the apron. Jey runs the ropes and leaps out, taking Dash down on the floor. Ricochet blocks the Glorious DDT. Ricochet keeps going and hits the Recoil. Ricochet goes to the top as fans pop. Ricochet hits the 630 on Roode for the pin to win the third fall.

Winners: Ricochet and The Usos

After the match, Ricochet’s music hits as he celebrates with The Usos. Out comes The Club to the ringside area – Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and new WWE United States Champion AJ Styles. Ricochet leaps out of the ring and takes AJ down on the floor. Gallows, Anderson and The Usos all get involved. The Revival brings The Usos back in the ring but a double superkick sends them right back out. Gallows and Anderson also eat superkicks as The Usos stand tall in the ring for a pop. The Usos run the ropes but Roode pulls Jimmy out and sends him into the barrier. Jey grabs Roode but Roode drops him over the top rope. The Revival runs in with a Shatter Machine to Jey. Ricochet comes flying into the ring and takes out The Revival to save The Usos. AJ springboards in with a Phenomenal Forearm to take Ricochet back down. Gallows and Anderson hit a Magic Killer on Ricochet now. The Club stands tall over Ricochet as AJ’s music hits. We go to replays as The Club stands tall over Ricochet.

Drake Maverick is backstage with his wife, back on good terms. She goes to get ready to leave and leaves Drake to stand by himself. Superstars including Robert chase WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth but Drake resists. Truth stops back by and thinks Drake won’t try to pin him but Drake decks him with his luggage and calls for a referee. Drake wins the title from Truth and yells for his wife to come on because they can “do it” 24/7 now.

We see Carmella and WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth in the front row wearing disguises. They’ve been spotted by the camera as a group of Superstars including Robert Roode run out to try and get Truth’s title. Truth escapes and runs off with the group of Superstars right behind them.

We see Carmella and WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth backstage hiding and running around. A group of Superstars including Robert Roode suddenly chase them but there’s no referee. Truth and a bunch of Superst get on an elevator. A referee appears but he doesn’t make it onto the elevator, along with a bunch of the Superstars. The elevator breaks down and is now stuck. The security camera inside the elevator shows Truth, Carmella, Drake Maverick, EC3, Heath Slater and Cedric Alexander. No referee. Truth says this is what they get for chasing him.

Back from a break and R-Truth is still on the elevator with the other Superstars. They’re all bonding and becoming like family. The other Superstars who were on the other side of the door are still waiting when they finally get it open. Truth almost loses the title as chaos unfolds, but he’s pulled back onto the elevator thanks to Carmella. Truth keeps the title.

After the match, Ricochet stands tall as his music hits. Cesaro looks on shocked. Cesaro suddenly attacks and drops Ricochet from behind as fans boo. Cesaro goes under the ring and brings a table out. WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth is laying on top of the table, hiding out. Carmella runs out. Ricochet knocks a surprised Cesaro over the barrier. A group of Superstars including Robert Roode,  run down the ramp from the back t chase Truth. They corner him but Cedric Alexander leaps from the ring, taking everyone down. Truth enters the ring and dances around. Drake Maverick comes from behind and thinks he’s finally caught Truth. Carmella comes over and drops Maverick with a big shot. Truth runs away through the crowd with the large group of Superstars right behind him.

We see The Usos hosting a Memorial Day Block Party outside of the arena under a tent. EC3 looks thrilled to be there. Dana Brooke and The Lucha House Party are having fun. The Usos mention everyone is invited, except for The Revival. Drake Maverick is looking for WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth. The Usos welcome everyone.

Back from the break and we see The Revival and The Usos going at it in a game of Cornhole at the block party outside.

Carmella suddenly enters the ring from the crowd. WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth is right behind with Superstars chasing him. Eric Young rolls him up for a 2 count. Drake Maverick, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Mojo Rawley and others are trying to get their hands on Truth. Truth runs off through the crowd with Carmella on his back, Superstars chasing them.

Back from a commercial and we get another look at The Usos’ block party. They have words with The Revival when WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth runs in. Other Superstars are trying to take the title. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson take out Drake Maverick. A big brawl breaks out under the tent. Truth manages to escape with the title as other Superstars such as Robert Roode and EC3 chase him.

Monday Night RAW Results – May 20, 2019

Back from the break and out comes WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley to the stage, wearing the new title on his shoulder under a cover. He has the music cut so we can get down to business. Fans chant Foley’s name.

Foley says something has been missing from RAW and we need to re-visit those three letters – RAW. Foley says we need to make the show raw again. Foley enters the ring and talks about Superstars making a name, being a champion. Foley says being a champion is an obsession that consumes you throughout the day, all day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Foley says with that spirit in mind, he presents the new title in the WWE family. He calls for a drum roll and introduces the new WWE 24/7 Title. There’s not much of a reaction from the crowd.

Foley says the title is to be defended any time, any place, any where. Some fans boo as Foley holds the title up. Foley says you don’t have days off when you hold this title, a fall can take place as long as there is a referee in place. Foley says the third hour of RAW every week is about to get a little nasty and dirty. Foley says the first 24/7 Champion will be crowned tonight with a Scramble. Foley says this is open to all Superstars on the RAW, SmackDown, 205 Live, WWE NXT and NXT UK rosters, and every now and then a visiting Legend. Foley tells Superstars in the back to line up and when the bell rings, he who retrieves the title, receives the title.

Foley places the title in the middle of the ring and heads to the outside to ring the bell. Superstars start running down the ramp, tackling each other. Cedric Alexander, EC3, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Mojo Rawley, Titus O’Neil, No Way Jose, Eric Young all start brawling at ringside. Titus makes it int he ring but Mojo levels him. Cedric springboards in to drop Mojo. Young comes in and faces off with Cedric. Gallows and Anderson trip them, then run in to grab the title at the same time. EC3 attacks from behind. Jose brawls with EC3 now. They end up spilling out of the ring to the floor. The title is still in the ring. Drake Maverick runs in to grab it but Titus stops him. Titus grabs it and tosses Drake over the top, onto others on the floor. Titus grabs the title and becomes the first-ever WWE 24/7 Champion.

Winner and New WWE 24/7 Champion: Titus O’Neil

After the decision, Titus heads to the stage and celebrates as his music hits. Robert Roode comes from behind and decks Titus, then rolls him up for the win and the title. The other Superstars head to the back as the referee has the title now. Roode is the new champion as his music hits.

We see Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin backstage talking when WWE 24/7 Champion Robert Roode comes running by with the other Superstars chasing him.

We see WWE 24/7 Champion Robert Roode backstage with R-Truth. Truth hides him in his trunk and sends the other Superstars in another direction. Truth helps Roode out of the trunk after they leave, and tells him to get in the back seat. A referee is waiting in the car. Truth drops Roode and covers to win the title.

Winner and New WWE 24/7 Champion: R-Truth

After the bell, Truth celebrates and hops in the car, driving off with the title.

Ricochet vs. Robert Roode

We go to the ring and out comes Ricochet to a pop. If Robert Roode wins this match, he will take Ricochet’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match spot. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Natalya is with Naomi in the locker room. They have invites from Lacey Evans to be at ringside later tonight. It says formal ringside attire is required. Dana Brooke appears and she also got the invite. They believe this is related to their spots in the Money In the Bank Ladder Match but they will be ready for what she has planned. We get another look at The Miz sitting outside of Shane McMahon’s office. Shane has not arrived yet. We go back to the ring and Ricochet waits as Robert Roode makes his way out. Roode will earn Ricochet’s MITB Ladder Match spot if he gets the win.

The bell rings and they go at it. Roode unloads in the corner and stomps away as the referee warns him. Roode with more corner shots, including big chops to the chest. Ricochet counters and hits a pair of dropkicks, stunning Roode. Ricochet goes to springboard in from the apron but Roode shoves him out to the floor, landing hard. Roode follows and keeps control with more offense. Roode wraps the ring apron over Ricochet’s face and pounds on him.

Roode comes back in and covers Ricochet for a 2 count. Roode keeps Ricochet grounded now. Roode goes on and nails a big short-arm clothesline for a close 2 count. Roode keeps Ricochet grounded again. Ricochet finally gets some offense in and looks to keep the momentum going but Roode catches him with a big Spinebuster for a close 2 count. Ricochet turns it around again and goes up top for the 630, nailing it for the pin to keep his MITB spot.

Winner: Ricochet

After the match, Ricochet stands tall as we see the Money In the Bank briefcase hanging high above the ring. We go to replays.
